Andrea creates learning experiences that require the developmentally appropriate amount of rigor for each student. Learning goals are aligned with the content standards and made clear to the students. Andrea differentiates outcome expectations and integrates content when possible. This is another strong area for Andrea.
Andrea uses the district adopted Making Student Thinking Visible (MSTV) strategies for questioning and challenging students.
Not only does Andrea use our student assessment results to help plan future learning, but she also uses the results to assess the effectiveness of learning experiences, resources used for learning, and her own teaching methods to make lessons more effective in the future.

Andrea constantly exceeds my expectations in all domains! She has built an excellent rapport with each of our students, the staff, and administrators here at Crim. Andrea values collaboration and shows enthusiasm for opportunities to grow professionally. She is punctual, professional, and demonstrates great communication skills. Her lessons have been effective and of high-interest for our students. Andrea also values assessment and its use for guiding future instruction and uses it to provide differentiated learning experiences. I have been extremely impressed with her knowledge of child development and educational pedagogy. I look forward to continuing to watch her grow professionally during her semester of student teaching.

Andrea's interactions are friendly and demonstrate general caring and respect. As a result the students exhibit respect for her. The classroom culture is a place where learning is values by all; high expectations for both learning and behavior are the norm for students. Students understand their role as learner and consistently expend effort to learn. Classroom interactions support learning and the precise use of language.

Andrea has helped to plan and make many different dramatic play areas that go along with our units of study, such as the Post Office, the Animal Hospital, and her latest, the Clover Cafe. These dramatic play areas reinforce concepts and new vocabulary taught during lessons. They are creative and encourage the students to use their imaginations! Andrea shows respect and caring to each student and in return, they show respect for her. This helps to foster a safe and engaging environment in our classroom.
