Welcome!
Driven, relevant, and dedicated Early-career educator located in Northwest Ohio. In May 2019, I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Bowling Green State University obtaining a Bachelors of Science in Education (Inclusive Early Childhood Education).
I hold two licensures: one in general education (K-3), and one in special education (K-3), and an Intervention Specialist certificate (birth-age 3). I am eager to take what I have learned thus far into the classroom where it can have the greatest impact. I am ready to share what I have learned with others, while continuously seeking additional educational resources to keep young minds engaged.
With two licensures, came two consecutive years of student teaching experiences. First, (junior year) gaining experience in an inclusive preschool classroom. Using Best Practices and Universal Principles, I was able to learn more about the "Leader in Me" program which teaches 21st-century leadership and life skills.
Secondly, (senior year) I student taught in a general education second-grade classroom. I can use my student teaching experiences in my current classroom daily by creating a culture of student empowerment based on the idea that every child can be a leader. Without a doubt, these experiences have solidified my passion for teaching!
